Universal Academy Accredited Training
Universal Academy was created in 2017 by Universal Electrical Service to provide our employees with the quality, hands-on, and in-depth training our apprentices were lacking at previous institutions. It is our belief that craft knowledge is obtained through instruction, recalled through repetition, and reinforced through hands on application of practical knowledge. Our training is built upon the foundation of the NCCER curriculum, which allows us to offer a four year apprenticeship program that is accredited in the state of Pennsylvania towards a journeymen’s certificate.
Due to the success of our program, in 2018 we opened our doors to other like-minded contractors looking to invest in their employee’s potential and offer a high caliber apprenticeship program that prepares their workers for our competitive industry. Today we teach our apprenticeship program, along with Arc Flash Awareness, OSHA, and Pre-Apprenticeship training to multiple electrical contractors in the south eastern Pennsylvania region and growing! Not only did this type of relationship generate an excellent training program but it extended into the field by building strong, complimentary relationships with other electrical contractors.
Affiliations
We are a certified training sponsor within the NCCER system and we maintain memberships in several industry related associations which affords us the opportunity for new ideas and participation in programs that require employers to meet safety standards for Training, Supervision, Documentation, and Policy Implementation.
